Virtue of Nikah (Marriage)
Nikah is not just a social contract — it is a sacred bond, a spiritual journey, and a Sunnah of our beloved Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. In Islam, marriage holds a place of immense virtue, honour, and blessings. It is through Nikah that two souls are joined together under the divine will of Allah ﷻ.
The Holy Qur’an beautifully mentions:
“And among His signs is this: that He created for you spouses from among yourselves, so that you may find comfort in them, and He placed between you love and mercy.”
– Surah Ar-Rum: 21
This verse reflects the true essence of marriage – Mawaddah (love) and Rahmah (mercy). A Nikah based on faith brings peace, stability, and purpose into a believer’s life.
🌟 Fazilat (Virtues) of Nikah:
🔸 Half of Faith:
The Prophet ﷺ said:
“When a person marries, they have fulfilled half of their faith.”
– [Bayhaqi]
🔸 Protection from Sin:
Nikah protects a person’s chastity and guards the eyes and heart from haram.
🔸 Barakah in Rizq:
With sincere intentions and halal love, Allah opens doors of rizq (sustenance) and ease.
🔸 Foundation of a Righteous Ummah:
Through Nikah, families are built upon taqwa (piety), raising generations who love the deen.
🔸 A Sunnah of the Prophet ﷺ:
Rasulullah ﷺ himself encouraged marriage and practiced it. Following his Sunnah brings reward.
💕 Nikah is Not Just Love — It is Worship
True Islamic marriage is built on sabr (patience), shukr (gratitude), husn-e-akhlaq (good character) and constant dua. It is the only relationship where two people grow spiritually, emotionally, and socially — together.
Through every smile, every sacrifice, and every prayer together — they earn rewards and walk towards Jannah hand in hand.
